About Me
Hello there! My name is Lacey Meek and I attend Animas High School in Durango, Colorado. I've lived in Durango for all of my life, and get to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature every day! I enjoy reading, writing, gymnastics, rock climbing, video games, and pretty much every form of art. I'd like to be an author when I'm older, or maybe an interpreter or translator. Animas is a college preparatory school, and I know it will help me to reach these goals. Until then, please feel free to roam around the site!
Why I Chose Animas High School
I'll admit that going to Animas was more my parents' idea than my own. I didn't know what to expect, but figured to appease them, I'd try Animas for a semester, and If I hated it, I'd transfer out. The first orientation week did nothing to appease those thoughts. Finally though, we started classes. The first day turned into the first week, then the first month. Before I even knew it, it was the end of the first semester! I'd had so much fun that the time had simply flown, and when I thought about it, I didn't really want to leave. The thing about Animas is that it offers new and interesting experiences, and we do projects that help us to apply the work that we learn in class, which is what students (especially teenagers) need, to see the use of our lessons. I'm completely in love with this school now, and am excited to see what the future holds!
